About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become fluent in German. Also to decrease World Suck

ABOUT ME

I am an American student studying in Freiburg this coming year. I love to travel and meet new people and try new things!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to do things that don't make you happy and to not do things that make you happy.

Take chances. It is better to regret a decision that you made than one that you didn't.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE to read. My favorite books include Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman, The Princess Bride by William Goldman, and the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series.

As for music, I listen mostly to classic rock, like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Journey, Guns 'n Roses, Boston...basically anything that came out in the 60's 70's and 80's. I also love modern adaptations of classical pieces, so the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the Piano Guys are definitely up there on my list of favorite artists. I'll listen to anything tho. I won't necessarily like it but I'll listen to it.

My favorite movies include the original Star Wars trilogy, The Princess Bride, August Rush, Indiana Jones, Spaceballs and anything else by Mel Brooks, The Terminator, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I will watch almost anything except horror. I don't do horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing that I've done in my life is uproot myself from my home, my family, and my friends to come to Germany to study. That's not particularly amazing so I hope to do some amazing things while I'm abroad and then I'll have something really amazing to put here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can passably cook and am willing to contribute to and/or bring food. I also offer engaging conversation, especially if it's about something that I really like. Like Harry Potter.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, United States
