IMPORTANT:
"I am an Airbnb Superhost, entrepreneur, and a solo traveler. As a busy New Yorker, I don’t host a lot on CS, but when I do, I prefer to host those who have completed their profile and POSITIVE references. Sorry for the inconvenience!"
New Yorker; I'm a photographer by hobby, jazz, food, and coffee addict; solo female traveler. I'm a wine and design enthusiast, and a Papillon owner, I love to laugh, and I enjoy making other people laugh :) Je adore French jazz. I grew up with an American Eskimo, a Siamese cat, and a parrot, and I had a lovely papillon dog for over 10 years, but she passed away in the fall of 2021, currently, I don’t have any pets in the apartment. I love architecture and arts as well!
I threw house parties throughout the years, and I usually would go search for solo travelers on CS that are in NYC by themselves with a completed profile, and positive references, and I would invite a lucky few of them to my parties, to meet my friends and experience the NYC life. Maybe you're the one in luck!
I value intellectual conversation, as a busy New Yorker, I don’t like to waste my time making unnecessary small talks, especially when there’s nothing constructive that can come out of it. I am a firm believer in many things. I believe the world is a beautiful and amazing place with a million little secrets to be discovered. I am a firm believer that everything is possible and life itself, it's about experiences. I believe there's more to travel than just seeing the sights; it’s about the experiences and the small, but distinct change that takes place somewhere deep inside you. Never stop dreaming!
I am big on trying everything at least once and just living the hell out of life. I like doing things for other people and I get a great deal of joy out of making someone else feel happy even if it's just for a minute. The littlest things can make me exceedingly happy, and when they happen randomly - I love my life. Variety is a huge necessity for me to function properly. I have seen lots of things and lived in different stories.
The only thing I have found from my experiences, from young to young adult, from music to arts, what makes you happy is the only thing that matters. Everything else is just life and like it or not life is like a cup of coffee. If anyone knows what that means ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel but I don't have the time to travel all the time when I do travel, I would love to meet awesome people from different places and get to know about their cultures. Therefore I thought, why not start with myself first! New York City is my home, I love it here! I would love to make other people feel at home too!
My first experience at a short notice in Montréal was amazing with some great people who opened my eyes to Couchsurfing. I shall do my best to pass that forward.
IMPORTANT:
I believe in the true spirit of Couchsurfing, where couch surfers share their homes, cities, and lives in profound in meaningful ways, making travel anywhere in the world a truly social experience. I DISLIKE the idea of people joining the CS community hoping to get LAID or treating the host as a free hotel without any interest to learn about the local cultures or communicating with other people.
I'm a sociable busy 30s something but I will try to make time to be a good host and show/tell you about my favorite local spots or neighborhood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
“Not all those who wander are lost.” – J.R.R. Tolkien.
Recently came back from an adventure of my lifetime! Solo globetrotting from Caribbean - EU - Africa - EU. Lost my passport, and wallet in Geneva, issued an emergency passport in Paris. Got my new backpack stolen in Valencia, still love every bit of it! Make lifelong friends along the way who helped me to replace everything I lost!
