Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is hard to meet people from cities you travel, but on couchsurfing it seems everyone is here for the same reasons - to meet, talk to and learn from people from around the globe. We have been away from home for a while so it's nice to meet new 'family' through couchsurfing.
I studied anthropology in my undergraduate degree which deals with understanding cultural difference and it is my absolute mission to travel the world (as far as my purse will allow). But for now I am studying my Masters in City Planning, but doing 6 months of this study in Berlin.
It is always difficult to travel and worry about places to stay. This sounds like a great way to meet local people and having a local experience.
