I was living in The Netherlands as an exchange student for one year, and during my days off uni, I grabbed the chance to travel around Europe for a bit, and that’s also how I started to use couchsurfing to meet people and experience the local life.

Interests

I love taking photos and sometimes videos not because of the typical stereotype of Asian people but for memories. I’m kind of person who thinks with images. As aging, sometimes I forgot things easily. Thus, photos and videos help me to remember every cherished moment of my trips. I do photography but I won’t say I’m professional or really good at it. I press the bottom because I enjoy the moment and want to record it.

I started to record every meal as a food diary for myself after living in Europe. Initially, I just want to remember what I cooked, and now it becomes a habit! It’s not like I want to be a food blogger or something (I’m too lazy to be famous), I just want to record everything so that I could review all the memories years after.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music and love to get to know any kinds of new music! I even have a collection of music in different languages (yes I understand nothing while listening to them 😂) In recent years, I’m quite into chill music like Lost Frequencies, Petit Biscuit, Lido, FKJ, Tom Misch, Healy, Saux etc.

I also watch any kinds of movies except for ghost and horror movies. My favorite director is Christopher Nolan. I love his Memento, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Interstellar and Dunkirk. Other movies I like: Ad Astra, The Giver, Stuck In Love, Joker, First Man etc.

White Collar and Baby Daddy are my favorite series so far. I love Big Time Rush so much that I watched it without any subtitles to practice English! Recently met a new bad friend, Netflix 😂 Now watching Breaking Bad!

Recently trying to pick up reading since smartphone and social media made me dumb and hard to concentrate. Also started to write again!

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course I could offer help or teach you some basic with Traditional Chinese, ㄅㄆㄇㄈ (Phonetic Symbols) and Taiwanese as a native speaker! I could also offer some Taiwanese food (I personally believe Taiwanese food culture is the craziest in the world!

Also, don’t hesitate to ask for some travel tips of Taiwan! I had several experiences of showing foreign friends around ;) I’d also love to share my travel experiences and offer some tips for the places I’ve visited if you don’t mind I’m not a local haha

I love to hear new stories from the world. The world is so big, there are so many good stories waiting for your discovery. Thus, I also love to share mine as long as you're also interested. Story exchange for me is one of the main idea of couchsurfing.

I’m not professional but I do enjoy drawing. Although I’m not really good at Chinese calligraphy, I did learn for few years and would love to show you some. I can also play a little bit of piano and ukulele, but I haven’t practiced for a while :(
