ABOUT ME
I'm originally from Michigan. Went to college in New Hampshire graduating with a degree in environmental studies, which lead me to live on a commune in Virginia for four years. I left there in 2011 and traveled around while illustrating for an heirloom and organic seed company and doing other random work like housekeeping for lodges in national parks. I finally settled for some amount of time in Farmville, VA only to start attending college again for nursing, which led me to do an accelerated nursing program in Durham. When I finished that I moved here to Seattle with my boyfriend and now work nights at a nursing home focusing on palliative and hospice care for people with HIV and AIDS.
PHILOSOPHY
Oh my gosh what a question. Hmmm, I want to spread happiness and enjoy life as much as I can and the means of doing both of these I believe are ever changing. So perhaps my philosophy is seek happiness by being always reflective and open and keeping your heart light. How do i keep my heart light? Honesty and creativity. How do you stay honest and creative? Philosophy is endless.
It's funny reading this thing I wrote a couple years ago.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like homemade music of my friends and people I meet. My favorite music is participatory for everyone. But if you must have a genre i like folky stuff, and oldies, and older than oldies.... I really like a lot of different music, but I am not too into music that has an angry tone mostly because I am very affected by music and don't like to feel angry.
As for movies, I like a lot of independent films, but also movies that are beautiful to look at like lord of the rings. :)
And as for books, I like to read things that are unique and offer new perspectives, and mostly I prefer fiction like this. But I can also get into some fun and silly things like Harry Potter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many amazing things out there, how does one choose? I can't. I just can't. Going on safari was pretty neat though.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share or teach a bit of painting, illustrating or drawing, and I would absolutely love to share some banjo and singing. Hmmm what else? I would be happy to tell about my commune experiences and living cheaply while traveling too.
