ABOUT ME

Evan studies global inequality and justice, and in his spare time he likes to make beer, and tend to his beard.
Jessie is a lifestyle photographer with an insatiable love for Dachshunds and Frenchies.
We both love long walks on the beach, whiskey sours, and peanuts cream.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jessie loves many things from Tower of Power to Dizzy Gillespie and Boy and Bear, the films of Studio Ghibli, the 'reporting' of Stephen Colbert and almost every documentary she comes across, as well as the works of Murakami, Alexander McQueen and Stephen Nachtwey.
Evan enjoys Del The Funkee Homosapien as well as Fleet Foxes and Röyksopp and has developed an obsession with Miles Davis, the series Generation Kill, The Darjeeling Limited and Louis Theroux, and works by Rauh Welt Begriff, Linhberg Ngyuen and most books he reads as long as they're not too wordy...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not really cold unless your vomit freezes as soon as it hits the ground (lessons learned in Mongolia at 30 below zero).
If a monk offers to take you on a "guided tour" of an unlit damp cave without safety rails using only a tiny flashlight JUST SAY NO (lessons learnt in rural China).

Teach, Learn, Share

We both love to learn and love meeting people with interesting talents and knowledge: Jessie is known for engaging almost anyone on any topic while Evan can usually be found listening eagerly and interceding with a silly if stimulating question.
Jessie is happy to share her photography training with anyone that is interested and Evan, though not a specialist in anything, is a top guy nonetheless.
