About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See as much of this amazing world as I can, and make lots of friends along the way!
ABOUT ME
I am pretty laid back and easy going, and really just like meeting people, new experiences and having fun! I am from New Zealand, and spent a few months last year with my family in Asia before heding to the UK, where I am now.
I enjoy lots of different things, out door activities like walking, cycling, I really love swimming or anything which involves the water! My dream is to Scuba Dive, all day, every day. I enjoy reading and movies, and just hanging out, chilling with friends and exploring. I like to get off the beaten track and see things out of the ordinary.
I'm not much of a planner, sort of see how things go and where I end up - fly by the seat of my pants sort of thing. However, when I do make plans I am very organised, reliable and punctual!
I am very friendly, and tend to get on with pretty much everyone. I can be a little shy if with lots of people I don't know, but it doesn't take me long to join in and start chatting.
I am adaptable - I once spent three months living in a one person tent while working on an orchard, so I can make myself comfortable pretty much anywhere!
PHILOSOPHY
I try to make the most of every moment, and enjoy every day, what ever it brings! Every thing that happens is an opportunity to enhance my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have just settled into a little flat in London, which is bursting at the seams with 6 people in it. I am always happy to meet up for a coffee.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only just joined up, and unfortunately can't host as my flat is tiny! It is a brilliant idea, and I hope the fact that I'm new won't stop me from being able to participate and meet heaps of people!
Interests
Travel is my passion! I love meeting people and being with my friends, talking and sharing experiences. I am a total book nerd, read everything I can get my hands on. I love movies and music, especially live music, of any kind - except maybe rap. I enjoy the theatre and plays, I like going to galleries and art exhibitions, and I enjoy painting, although I get frustrated I'm not as good as I want to be! I love seeing new things and being pushed out of my comfort zone. I also love to party, as long as it's the right place and time.

Music, Movies, and Books
A couple of all time favorite books would be Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice - I'm a sucker for the classic romances! I do actually read anything and everything though, so too many to choose from! Great book I read recently was The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which was absolutely charming and highly recommended!
Music - I like a bit of everything, except rap. I like classical and world music to chill out to, I love the classics like Pink Floyd, Queen, Rolling Stones and The Beatles. I most often listen to Radiohead, Dresden Dolls and Bright Eyes.
Movies - oh man! Again too many to choose from. A few favorites would be Donnie Darko, Romeo and Juliet, and Empire Records - it cracks me up every time. Pan's Labrynth and Little Miss Sunshine are both great too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba Diving in Koh Tao - amazing! I have found my vocation!
Visiting Cambodia - despite the tragic history the people are amongst the lovliest I have ever met. It is a beautiful country with such a rich history.
Doing the Tongariro Crossing in NZ - climbing over a series of volcanis craters. Hard work, but awesome!
I spent three months one summer living in a one person tent on a cherry orchard, and had a fantastic time! As I said - I am very adaptable!
Teach, Learn, Share
Um...I can cook from a recipe! I make a mean chocolate brownie. And I'm willing to wash up! I am good at English and happy to help anyone who wants to improve theirs! That's about all I guess. Unfortunately I am awfully bad at learning other languages, but I do like trying!
