ABOUT ME

My friends would generally describe me as a very laid back and down to earth girl with a sense of adventure. Basically, I'm a small town girl who loves the big city lights!

PHILOSOPHY

I come from a small town in VT, and thus have a sort of small-town complex: I appreciate the environment I grew up in and love the simplicity of the country, but I'm trying to soak up everything that I could have every possibly missed- ethnic restaurants, new music, languages, etc. I like to listen and learn about where people came from, what motivates them, etc. I enjoy life and I'm happy...anything that facilitates that feeling is generally ok by me :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

host when i have something people can sleep on, meet up for coffee and drinks to get to know locals and fellow travelers, attend events and partaaaaays ;), and generally just thrive off the buena onda (good vibes) of CS!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted when I lived in DC, surfed when I traveled across the US and when i moved to santiago, chile. Now traveling south america and looking to meet more amazing CSers! My favorite experience was probably taking a road trip with my new cousurfing friends, a brazilian, an indian, and a chilean. We had an amazing time as Crazy F'ing Surfers!

Interests

Dancing, reading, chatting, EATING, cooking, wandering around aimlessly in new places, exploring neighborhoods, waitressing at my family restaurant, driving with the windows down, exploring music, finding dives with jukeboxes, thrift shops, coffee shops, starting to try to watch movies (I'm restless, but I can't ignore these recommendations any longer), meeting new people, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Classic Rock (Bruce Springsteen, U2, Boston, Melissa), Country (Reba, Garth, you know, the greats), Rap (Eminem, 50 cent, Jay-Z, Timbaland), some Pop (PCD, Justin Timberlake), 80s (Robert Palmer, Michael Jackson, .38 Special), 90s (Toad the Wet Sprocket, other bands who sing the songs you recognize but don't know anything about)etc. etc. I really enjoy music and associating it with time, places, and feelings. Anything with and awesome beat will do, similarly anything with great lyrics.

Books: 1984, roots, paradise, death of a salesman, lord of the flies, the catcher and the rye, a tree grows in brooklyn, a separate peace, catch-22

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling the US for three months sola was pretty sick.
