About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take on Ireland!

ABOUT ME

My name is Jessica, but you can call me Jess.

* I finished High School in 2006 and have been working full-time and studying for the last 4 years in Children's Services. Now it's time to explore!

* I'm a non-smoker.

* I've never seen snow.

* I can't handle birds.

* I am probably the most accident prone/clumsy person you will ever meet.

* I like to sing.

* I'm a sucker for anything acoustic.

* I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment.

* I'd like to work somewhere where I have a name tag.

* I laugh at my own jokes. Sometimes I'm laughing so hard I can't finish what I'm trying to say.

* I like to get dressed up and go out.

* I was the inspiration for Buffy The Vampire Slayer. :-p

PHILOSOPHY

"Sing like no one is listening, dance like no one is watching, give like you expect nothing in return, and love like you've never been hurt."

My Parents always said: "Treat others the way you would like to be treated."

"Fuck it, I need a drink."

"Roll the dice."

"A life without love is a life not worth living."

"Never smile at a Crocodile" :-p

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just discovered CS (and it's lucky that I have as I'm about to take my first ever solo trip to Ireland in March 2011.) I hope to make some connections with people on this site, and hopefully be able to return any hosting favours in the future.

Interests

* Meeting people.

* Live music.

* Various Literature.

* I find tragic events such as The Holocaust extremely interesting. During my travels I hope to be exposed to many places/people/knowledge/events with such incredible history.

* I'm a big drinker.

* My career- children are a big part of my life. It's such an amazing feeling to know I have them at the most influential stage of their lives. Their minds absorb more information during the younger years than any other time. I take my job seriously and have genuine issues with the vast majority of people who know nothing about my job, and assume my role involves simply changing nappies all day.
