About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel around while Ubering and couchsurfing, visiting towns and seeing sights, meeting new people, learning more about the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm an omnivore, locavore, forager, fermenter. I'm also a community engagement and social media advocate; an SME in generational diversity. I'm a GenXer, born in 1963, american, female. I love to travel and meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

'Let there be light' was a good start. Now what?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to travel to off-the-beaten-path places (and big cities), to meet people across the country (and beyond) and to see what life is like, up close and personal, for people beyond my local community where I've lived for the majority of the last 44 years.

As a host: In a pre-couch-surfing world, when I owned a townhome, I often hosted friends and friends of friends, sometimes even for a few months at a time. My current living situation doesn't support that now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, officially.

Interests

Dancing, community, Burning Man. Foraging. Living well. Eating well. Getting to know more about nature/life/plants/energies (and pigs, for sure). I'm also a Nerium Brand Partner. I love to dance to EDM, house, zydeco, contra, two-step and a waltz. Biking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not much of an expert in this area. I like movies, I listen to music and I like to read. I like to travel to other worlds when reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a full moon rise over a mountain top in Namibia (glorious) ... and then later that night, got followed by a pack of growling hyena (scary!).

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an SME in generational diversity; communications, marketing and engagement; hula hooping and -- while SME may be a strong term here -- the Burning Man culture and community. I coach people in communications and social media; I'm a bit of a locavore and forager.

I'm a generalist and know a little about a lot!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Depending on how long I'm staying, I can help with yardwork, animal care and gardening. I also know a fair amount about marketing, communications and social media. I'm always happy to help with cooking, meal prep and cleaning up afterward. And I'm learning more about foraging, though I may not know much about the plants that are edible in a particular region.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Costa Rica, Egypt, England, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Namibia

Countries I’ve Lived In
