About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to explore my new city and meet as many new faces as possible :)

ABOUT ME

I'm 27 years old, from Vancouver, BC, Canada, but recently moved to Montreal for work! I was born in Germany but moved away at a young age. I'm bilingual as both my parents are French, and all of my schooling was done in French.

I left my job as a territory manager for a wholesale clothing agency to pursue my dream of traveling Europe, which I did in the summer of 2011...

Set off in May 2011 and, I saw some pretty amazing places/things--4 months, 15 countries, 39 cities, 19 buses, 22 trains, 5 flights, lots of new friends and a wonderful journey...

I have been to: Vienna, Prague, Budapest, South of France, Northern Italy, Romania, Istanbul, Belgrade, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam and finally... Paris!

I love traveling, and often opt for hosteling or couch-surfing option because it means I get to meet amazing new people :)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everything happens for a reason and that there is a reason for every person you meet.

Interests

Mostly, I'd say I'm a pretty open-minded person. I enjoy good food, exploring new cities, museums, and hanging out with new and fun people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What amazes me about traveling is the overwhelming generosity of strangers. I was on a 30 hour train ride from Istanbul to Belgrade... met some amazing like-minded travellers and upon arriving in Belgrade, one of them, who happened to be a local offered to drive me around until I found a place to stay and then offered to show me around his city. He spent 12 hours showing me the sights, telling me about his childhood growing up during the war, and insisted on taking me out for a traditional Serbian dinner, despite all of my protests to pay. All just because he was proud of his country. Amazing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Germany
