About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To save up enough money to take my little sister to Paris!
ABOUT ME
I grew up in one small New England town for my whole life, and decided when I was 18 that I wanted to move somewhere where I didn't know anyone. Then I did, in Florida. ;-)
Now seven years later, I'm living in Boston, and I know that I can make fascinating friends wherever I go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CS, so at first I was just looking for couches to search while backpacking through Ireland and the UK. Now I'm back and happy to meet up with people! I have hosted a few people since moving into my new apartment, but for now my couch is unfortunately unavailable, since my roommate is uncomfortable with the CS concept of inviting "strangers" to stay the night. But I still go to the Boston CS meet-ups and would be happy to show anyone around the Boston/Cambridge area. I make a terrific tour guide!
Interests
Anthropology, archaeology, travel (obviously), kung fu, tai chi, environmentalism, green energy, political science, and several other things, but let's just say I'm a geek in general. ;-) I love comic books.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anyone who has a favorite song doesn't listen to enough music. Anyone who has a favorite book doesn't read enough literature. Anyone with a favorite bar hasn't drank enough around the world!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most interesting thing I've done so far was attend an archaeological field school in Honduras. My professors were on the same team that discovered the great Mayan city of Copan, and it was a really educational and amazing experience.
More recently, I backpacked with a friend through Ireland and the UK, which was one of the greatest times of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Okay, I'm Sharing: In Massachusetts, a drinking fountain is a "bubblah." Basically "bubbler," but without the r-sound.
In New England, that creamy white clam soup is "chowdah," not chowder, and the best place to get it is at some locally owned bar and grill that's more bar than grill, like McGuire's.
In Tampa, if you want to go clubbing, go to Channelside, not Ybor. The piano bar "Howl at the Moon" is especially fun at Channelside, and there's a Thai restaurant to die for, right upstairs.
