About Me
After graduating from my degree in Biology, I decided to set off traveling. My boyfriend and I packed our bags and sold anything that didn't fit in them. We don't have a specific travel itinerary and simply go where the wind will take us.
Im so curious about the world, eager for new experiences and very keen to learn! I love getting myself involved in new adventures - especially if they're outdoors. Overall, I am up for pretty much anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to spice up my travels.
I was recently introduced to the interesting opportunities that Couchsurfing could provide by a fellow traveler in Malaysia. I immidiately began creating my profile!
The goal is to meet the people that define the areas I chose to visit. I've always rathered getting the insider's view and learning about an area through stories, opinions and personal experiences. This also seems like a great way to meet new interesting people along the way. My most memorable experiences traveling so far involve getting to know the people that define the culture I am interested in learning about.
Interests
First off, I am extremely passionate about marine life which explains my love for scuba diving and my dream in becoming a marine biologist involved in conservation and outreach. My favourite animal: sharks and cuttlefish as a close second! If you have them in our backyard, make sure to show me.
Secondly, I love food! Along with meeting new people, getting involved in exciting activities, and seeing beautiful sites, food has got to be one of my favourite things about traveling. I love the diversity I get explosed to when I travel. New ingredients, new flavours, new dishes, new teachniques... I love it all and want to learn. If my host is willing to share local recipes and teach me new techniques, I am all ears! In exchange I can share some of my own culinary secrets.
I love to live a healthy lifestyle which includes physical activity (lots of it!). I grew up playing volleyball, snow boarding and spending my summers swimming, snorkelling, water skiing, etc. Although I'm not that great at any particular sport, I am always willing to participate and try my hardest.
