About Me

I'm a student at the University of Oregon, working on a degree in Planning, Public Policy, and Management with an emphasis on the nonprofit sector. Eventually, I'm planning to work abroad with a nonprofit organization.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because meeting new people and learning about different cultures are two of my favorite things to do, only topped by learning new languages. It is so much fun to share your own culture and learn about those of others.

I plan to use this website in my travels and I would love to help others get a glimpse of where I live!

Interests

Most of my interests directly relate to learning new things. I'm fascinated by all of the wild and wonderful things we have access to in this era. This is a major reason why travel is so important to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into folksy, indie type music mainly (Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats are my fave) but I really get into just about anything. I listen to EDM while I do homework, gangster rap while I clean, and annoyingly catchy pop while I'm driving. Weird, I know.

As far as movies go, I'm into the Indie stuff the most. I really enjoyed Short Term 12, 500 Days of Summer, What We Do in the Shadows, and literally a million other flicks. I've seriously almost run out of movies on Netflix.

I haven't enjoyed books for awhile because required reading ruined me, but I'm starting to pick them back up again. Starting with comics' books. In other words, I'm in serious need of some suggestions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent three months living/learning/working on a farm in the middle of the jungle in India. So that was cool.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love Oregon and would be happy to share my knowledge as a native Oregonian. I can also share foodie-related research findings (I'm pretty well-versed when it comes to restaurants).

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, India, Nepal, South Korea, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
