Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
WELL I have just completed my first long-term backpacking trip which involved many nights on the couches of fellow CSers. At the moment I'm visiting my family in South Africa so unfortunately I do not have the space and facilities to host people at the moment, but once I'm settled back in Australia, I'd love to give hosting a go so that I can experience both sides of the CSing project. I'm also keen to get more involved with any CSing meetings that take place in South Africa. Although I can't host at the moment, I am most definitely availiable for coffee!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couple of experiences was in Mumbai, India, and it really made a good impression on me, I couldn't have asked for better hosts. All my other hosts in Turkey and Spain lived up to that first experience and I'm so glad that I got involved in this project as those experiences are what made my trip the exciting adventure it was.
Interests
Genious inventions such as creme brulee, soda water, Haribo gummy bears and asparagus (although the last is more of a discovery rather than an invention). I love tea, I drink more tea than a human body should digest in one day. I am very into my fire dancing at the moment, I've just started playing with fire staff and I'm addicted. I have had many minor injuries since this hobby began, but they just makes me want to get better. I love festivals, live music and just generally having the greatest time possible. Vintage shopping, vintage clothing and vintage 'stuff' is my love, along with arty, individual 'things'. I am a beach girl trapped in a city girl's body. I love the sun and the ocean to pieces, but I couldn't let go of the cosmopolitan city life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all these things. Movies on a rainy day is delicious, music is good for all day and everyday, and books are good for times in between. I love Dr. Seuss, "Green Eggs and Ham" is a personal favorite. And who doesn't like Harry Potter? Musically, I'm into all sorts. Mainly folk, indie, alternative. I forget what movies are about as soon as I'm done watching them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My entire 6 month backpacking trip with the AMAZING Eliza Rogers was pretty fantastic.
