Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey! My name's Jess and I'm originally from London. I'm currently living in Leicester with my partner, Laura. I studied Acting at university, and upon graduating in 2011, set up my own theatre company called Impulse Collective. We've toured three shows across the UK and performed a 1-month run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I now also work as the theatre programmer for a theatre in Leicester, and as a project assistant at Pedestrian, an arts charity.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
My partner Laura and I have a road trip across the USA planned for September - December this year (2017). We are flying into Los Angeles, and back from New York, and hope to see as much of the country as possible in the three months in between. We really want to experience more than what you can read about in tourist guides and want to meet as many people as possible along the way. Couchsurfing would be a great way for us to get to know the country from the perspective of the people that live there, whilst making friends!
Centres d'intérêt
I love sports and currently play for Leicester City Ladies Football team, having previously played for Tottenham Hotspurs Women's. I also love to cycle, scuba dive and ski (not that we get much snow here!), and play my guitar.
I love going to festivals, particularly Shambala Festival, and travel as often as I can. I've visited Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo (where I lived in the jungle for two months), Hong Kong, California, New York, and across Europe.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Fleetwood Mac, Jeff Buckley, Prince, Blondie, Reggae, Motown, Folk... and I'm a bit of a sucker for some old school garage... and the Spice Girls!
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I lived in the jungle in Borneo for two months, trekking and working in the orangutang sanctuary. It was the most incredible experience, I've never seen stars like it before, and I loved being so close to nature. We washed in rivers, got surrounded by monkeys, explored a waterfall with our jungle-guide 'Nor' which had only ever been seen by less than 50 people.
