About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore, experience, meet and have fun!

ABOUT ME

I'm Jess, I'm a partially trained chef, a fully trained French teacher but I still don't really know what I want to do with my life!

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to judge a book by its cover and treat people as they would like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have recently moved in with my boyfriend, so I'd have to clear any guests with him. I'm generally free at the moment to meet up for a chat though.

Interests

I love cooking and baking, reading, and most kinds of sporting activity. I run a few times a week, play netball and try to climb when I find the time. I also like to play tennis in the summer and ski once a year in the winter usually. Most weekends, my boyfriend and I find somewhere nice to go for a walk, although there's some really nice countryside right on our doorstep. I'm equally happy snuggled up on the sofa watching a good series or film, and I still love the odd night out with a few drinks and a dance, although they seem to be getting fewer and further between!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a really wide range of music, but normally singer songwriter type stuff or something I can sing along to will keep me happy. I love films with quirky storylines like Big Fish or Jeux D'Enfants (Love Me if you Dare), but I also enjoy the obvious favourites like Shawshank or Gladiator. Anything that evokes any form of emotion basically! I love books with really great stories, particularly if they are relevant to things that have happened, or are still happening, like Khaled Hosseini's books, The Help and The Thread by Victoria Hislop, but I also love the Game of Thrones books, classics from Austen and F Scott Fitzgerald etc. and occasionally a good 'girly' book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before uni I spent 3 months in Costa Rica, where I did a 250km trek which was pretty damn cool!
