ABOUT ME

I am a very easy going, laid back girl who loves to have fun! Books have proved to be some of my best friends and while I sometimes retreat to be a loner I usually love to be around people and make new friends. My dream in life is to own an organic farm somewhere in Canada (preferably in the beautiful maritimes, but I am flexible). Until then I want to see the world, meet all kinds of wonderful people, learn everything I can and avoid becoming a grown up.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in couchsurfing by offering a place to lay your head in my spacious living room (as long as you are alright befriending two tiny cats, Milo and Princess Pru), a cup of tea, a beer or your drink of choice, and a tour around Fredericton if you need/desire one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed while I was traveling overseas and have so far hosted once since I have been home. Can't wait to host again and to surf a bit in the spring when I drive across our beautiful country!

It is so hard to even know where to begin in this section...
Books - Ahhh so hard. Can I say everything? Too cliche... classic lit is where my love really lies; greek mythology, arthurian legends, and everything in between. I once, for a class, translated parts of Beowolf from old English into modern English. Yes, I am that kind of nerd (and proud of it)! I also dig some more modern classics such as J.D Salinger (R.I.P.) and Hemmingway. I love love poetry; reading and writing it.

Music - As long as its live! I am interested in many of the wonderful local artists that Atlantic Canada has to offer, as well as lots of golden oldies and anything with good lyrics. Bob Dylan is my soul mate. Ani D, Beastie Boys, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Bon Iver, Bright Eyes, The Clash, Chad VanGaalen, The Cure, The Doors, Dre, Elvis, Ember Swift, Grateful Dead, Hey Rosetta!, Janis Joplin, Joel Plaskett, Keller Williams, Metic, Modest Mouse, Noah and the Whale, Sam Roberts, She & Him, Slowcoaster, Tanya Davis, Violent Femmes, Xavier Rudd, Yeah Yeah Yeahs...just to name a few!
