About Me

Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself!

Hey! I'm Jessy from Tübingen, Germany.

Last year I've been studying in Malaysia for 1 semester (UiTM Puncak Alam) and I loved to explore Asia as a new continent and also new cultures!! :)

Two years ago I decided to take up a new challenge by working and travelling in Canada/USA for 9 months and 2 months in Portugal. This was just the begin of my travel addiction and I’m so happy about all the amazing places I’ve seen, the awesome things that I’ve done and especially the wonderful people I’ve met. I also made really good experiences with Couchsurfing so I wanna keep taking part :)

Back in Germany I studied Business Management at the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart. I have already completed a vocational training as an Industrial Management Assistant before. Now after graduating, I work as a R&D Management Assistant for a medical technology company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m very interested in discovering amazing places, meeting wonderful people from all over the world and get to know their lifestyles and cultures.

Interests

Meeting friends or get to know new people from all over the world, discovering new places, learning new things, partying, cooking (and eating, for sure :D), I love discussions about different topics, problems, ideas and opinions. Couchsurfing has definitely become one of my interests as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is very important for me. Iaa love different styles of electronic music (especially mixed with international music or jazz vibes!) and (indie-)rock. I'm also open to other music genres - but I don't like monotonous music!
I used to play the guitar in my teen years (maybe it's still enough for some campfire songs? :))

Sometimes I enjoy reading books. It might be something you have to think about or that makes you rethink about your thinking, haha. And also those sentimental stories - of course ;)

Sometimes it can be hard to convince me of movies, but it's not impossible - so you could see it as a challenge :))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My working holiday in Canada, USA and Portugal was a special experience for me. It was the first time travelling solo, also that far and for such a long time. It has changed me and definitely has broadened my mind and my points of view. And also studying in Malaysia and travelling around Asia was another life-time experience for me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love the opportunities that Couchsurfing offers. It's doesn't matter where you are - you don't have to be alone! You can meet great locals and people from everywhere! Learning from others and sharing some of your experiences. There is no better way to travel :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm familiar with the meaning and spirit of Couchsurfing. It's not about the free accommodation - it's about meeting people from all over the world and get to know them, their culture, points of view and how they live. If I stay at anyone's place I really appreciate it and want to be a pleasant guest.
