ABOUT ME

I live in Auroville, South India. For the past four years I have been studying communication and conflict handling skills through the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) model taught by Marshall Rosenberg - (http://cnvc.org) - as well as Restorative Circles (RC) as taught by Dominic Barter (http://RestorativeCircles.org).

I have two teenage kids, Adam, born in 1995, and Isa, born in 1992 who currently live in Sweden with their mamma and mormor.

In Auroville, I live in the Sadhana Forest community (http://sadhanaforest.org/) - a beautiful group of volunteers dedicated to re-foresting a 70 acre slice of land and re-building the ecosystem and strengthening relations with our local Tamil neighbors.

PHILOSOPHY

I am co-creating a world in which everyone's needs matter. Where conflicts are greeted with the recognition that would we never grow without conflict. Where all my children are safe and can thrive.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I don't have a couch to share. But anyone who wants to visit can stay with us at Sadhana Forest and share a delicious vegan meal and help us plant some trees!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch Surfing has been a magnificent, wonderful surprise for me! I have made so many connections with delightful people thru this network. Some people come up to me in Auroville and say: "Hey, I know you... I read your profile on CS.com!!" - ha ha ha... Small world...

Trekked thru the himalayas and lived with the villagers in Ladakh, North India, after surviving the scary scary bus ride from Manali to Leh... Kabir Yatra - two week bus ride with musicians from all over india, stopping in villages and playing the music of the Poet Saint Kabir until the wee hours of the morning...
