About Me

Hey guys!

My name is Jesus, but go by Jesse or Chuy. I am an easy going person who enjoys all types of food, beer and music. I like to explore new avenues and constantly learn and experiencing new things. I am an active person who likes to hike, surf, run or do any other type of sport. I am currently a scribe in the emergency departments of two hospitals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently applying to medical schools all over the United States which requires me to travel to different cities for interviews. It is a expensive process and my budget is very limited.

Interests

I am an active person that loves to be outdoors and soak up the sun as much as possible. I like to travel and learn about new cultures and cities. I believe it is important to immerse yourself in a different environment in order to gain a new perspectives and grow as a person.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I like all types of music and am open to all types of genres. Linkin Park is my all-time favorite band.

Books- Impersonating God is the most recent novel I have read. It is an exhilaration story that keeps you on your feet at all times. I was not able to put it down until I finished it. I recommend it to anyone! I am currently reading Make It Stick and Outliers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I went to Nicaragua on a medical mission trip. I along with 25 other selfless volunteers provided basic medical and dental attention to over 1,000 people in three rural communities over the course of 3 days. It was a humbling experience that I will forever cherish.

Teach, Learn, Share

The philosophy in medical school is learn one, do one, teach one. This philosophy can be applied to every day situations like cooking, sports, etc.
I am very diverse in my abilities. I am hands on person who loves to cook! With the proper ingredients I can dish up a tasty meal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences, knowledge, culture and abilities.

Countries I’ve Visited
