Overview
About Me
I am a travel enthusiast. Probably I got my interest in travelling from all those novels I read, classics and all; keeps me wandering, both literally and metaphorically. I believe it's this ceaseless search for adventurous randomness that ultimately yields tranquility, if at all that makes any sense!
The boring stuff: I did my graduation in Civil Engineering and post graduation in Environmental Engineering. I worked as a Researcher at IIT Madras for a few months, but I quit the job to have better independence over my time. Now I'm a Freelancer
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Let's cover the obvious first: of course couch surfing is an economical way to travel.
BUT.
But more than that, it's the connections we make in life that matter most. As the movie 'Into the Wild' concludes, "Happiness is only real when shared"! Thus it's for this 'connecting with people' and 'sharing happiness' that I'm on Couch Surfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cultivated the habit of reading! Believe it or not, up until the age of 15 I detested reading, in spite of (or maybe because of) my father's insistence on the virtue of reading. But things change, and here I am after 11 years, having read more than 170 books in spite of (or because of) my hectic Engineering career.
Teach, Learn, Share
"TEACH!" Right now focusing on the LEARNING part! For, unless you fill yourself first, how can you overflow?
"LEARN!" Life is a collection of experiences; as they say, life is in a state of constant flux, and the only way to face this chaos is by acquiring as much knowledge and experience as possible, while also having fun along the way!
"SHARE" What's the use of learning and acquiring experiences if we're not willing to share them!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I haven't visited much places in flesh and blood (except maybe South India), but I can share tales of the places I've been to via the yellowed papers of novels, brightly lit screen of my kindle, or the indulging voice of the narrator of an audio-book!
