I love to travel and meet new people. I've been described as eccentric, but usually with a big smile, so I reckon that must be a good thing.

I'm interested in all kinds of arts, drama, cinema, people, places, languages, food and stories. I live with a cat and there's a nature reserve behind my house. I am mostly, but not completely, vegetarian. I'm not much of a cook, but I will make anyone who stays feel very welcome and there will be food to eat. If you like to cook, then I'm happy for you to use the kitchen.

I am actively involved with Playback Theatre; I meet a lot of people from lots of different countries and languages through our shared passion for it. And I travel to many different places with Playback Theatre.

I've lived in Nottingham for over 20 years, so I know this area well and am happy to share my knowledge and pleasure in the city and surrounding area.

I live 10 minutes walk from a train station, where you can take a train into the centre of Nottingham, in about 7 minutes and into Derby, in about 15 minutes. There is a bus into Nottingham, also about a 10 minute walk away and there is space for parking a car in my street.

I'm interested in people and travel and as I have a house with a spare room, I thought why not see what happens? I'd also appreciate occasional offers of a couch or spare bed when I travel as I like to connect with people.

I have gone through treatment for an 'incurable' cancer and have been in remission since 2012. I make the most of my life and take any opportunities I can when they occur.
