About Me
Wassup!!
My name's Jethro and I am a 22yr old Ethnomusicology student from London - into art, poetry and politics.
I have just finished my first year studying Global Popular Music at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. I'm coming to the states to visit friends and develop a personal art project involving sound and poetry. I am a member of the LGBT+/Queer community and am fairly "left" politically (I'll be attending some Bernie Sanders marches whilst here!)... I'm up for a party + super into music (hip-hop+experimental stuff in particular), looking to see spoken word, comedy and theatre and get involved in the arts scene whilst I'm in the city... If you are into this stuff too, I reckon we'll get on pretty well!
I am a social smoker (also 420 friendly).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm in New York for the summer (4th June - 4th September) looking to sort out a temporary flatshare with some great people in the Brooklyn area - my budget is around $600 per month (or equivalent per week!)
I'm also going to be relying on some Couchsurfing as well - hoping to meet some lovely people on here who'll let me crash at theirs for a night... I'm very easy going and tidy and will be out of the house most of the time (exploring New York!)

What I Can Share with Hosts
I would also love to get to know the 'real locals' from the city... people who I can share stories with + exchange travel experiences.
I'm from Hackney, London - the Stoke Newington/Dalston area (which is super trendy these days) - and would be delighted to help fellow travelers planning a trip to the UK find some incredible experiences in London (I may be able to host in future)
Countries I’ve Visited
