About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Gotta see more of the world outside of Upstate New York!
ABOUT ME
I am thirsty to experience new places and take part in different cultures. I don't often get to travel. I feel reawakened to the possibility and joy in life when I get to meet new people and see them in their respective environments.
I have a BA in Studio Art. Most of my artmaking centers around papermaking, printmaking, and drawings. I love to learn more about art, culture, and history.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is that life holds both incredibly beautiful and tragic experiences that form and shape us into the people we function as on a daily basis. I agree with Oscar Wilde when he said, â
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, I am connecting with other people in the CS community by making new friends both near and far far away. In the future, I hope to lend out my couch, floor, and fridge to anyone who wants to explore a new place and meet a new friend.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My CouchSurfing experience is pretty limited thus far. I first learned of the community while studying abroad in Egypt for a semester. I took a vacation to Beirut, Lebanon, and Damascus Syria with a couple friends, one of whom was involved in Couchsurfing and landed our group with two very accommodating and generous hosts. Especially in Lebanon, having a host that was willing to tell us about his favorite places in and around Beirut, as well as sharing his experiences of being and living in Lebanon made the trip an incredibly illuminating and fun time. Because of these two hosts I am a true believer in CouchSurfing!
Since then I have traveled to Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland and through the network I have stayed on many couches and futons and made a lot of great friends.
