I have been travelling the world (or little bits of it) since 2012 when I left Egypt to start my adventure. Since leaving 'home' I have been lucky enough to call the UAE, Lebanon, Brazil, Peru, South Korea and now New Zealand my home.

At university I studied Ancient Egyptian History, Archaeology , Tourism and life! I worked for a number of years in Cairo before taking the plunge to see the world.

I have enjoyed my travels and they lead me to NZ where I now live. I enjoy meeting Kiwis in their own backyard and sampling the local beer.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing because after years of backpacking and staying in hostels, I prefer staying with locals and learning more about their culture, traditions, interests and what makes them tick. I have also found it is the best way to know the country by meeting and 'living with' locals.

Intereses

My interests are wide and varied, ranging from Music, history, politics, Martial Arts, food/cooking, Dancing and discovering new recipes, chess and of course, football.

I have recently discovered my love of wine, red wine! Luckily NZ has lots of great reds and I am working my through them to find my favourite vineyard.

I haven't quite got my head around rugby, but learn something new about with every game I sit down to watch with the many armchair experts!
