About Me
Peace, everyone!
My name from the Russian language translates as HOPE and I believe that it has a special meaning in my life.
I am a really easy-going person who enjoys jumping into any sort of venture.
Membership in Lithuanian Red Cross gave me a lot of different experiences in lots of life aspects.
Alternative Teacher Training gave me the knowledge and opportunity to develop and broaden my world.
I believe that there are no impossible things in the world.
When I started to study alternative pedagogy in Denmark I pretty much got blown away by the reality of the world. It got me into politics, activism and, most importantly, -education.
My greatest passion for the moment is the education in all of its forms (except conventional), which brought me to the project in India, where I get to teach about environment and art.
Clown/Laughter Therapy is my hobby. If you ask me to show it to you - I will get all shy and weird though. It is a special thing which demands a lot of mental preparation from me and which I am usually saving for children (:
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have mostly amazing Couchsurfing experiences and am planning to get many more (:
I adore the idea of this community and respect the altruistic idea of sharing among people from all around the Globe.
I find it very important to keep the best traditions of Couchsurfing rather than letting it emerge into another social network. I see Couchsurfing as a travellers network which is different from anything else.
I am one of those who misses old design and processes of the site (: When you needed to go through a rather complicated process of registration and fulfil your profile and write about friendship story with people (: It was great! It is still great!
I appreciate guests and travellers who see Couchsurfing as more than just a free accommodation (:
It makes me sad to see people use the platform for advertising and hook ups.
Interests
I love the nature and everything that is alive (still learning to love insects though - they freak me out). I love to be in the wild as much as in the busy cities.
Learning is my greatest interest. I believe that we learn from each over every moment of interaction.
Peace. The ultimate goal of my life. Small and Big Peace. In any form, shape or condition.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of the greatest books I've read:
The Kite Runner - is a book that teaches us the devastating war damage. Children of war and their traumatized lives. The ending makes it all worth reading.
Orchid -The Last Empress of China- a historical novel by Anchee Min. Touching influence of child upbringing and the fate of the whole nation.
New Summerhill by A.S.Neill - book about alternative pedagogy
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled thru West Africa by buses-caravans with 20 like-minded people in 4 months to learn.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, India, Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom
