Overview
About Me
I'm Esther. I love the idea of this community, that CS is.
I want to be good at cooking and I'm writing down the good meals I've had.
I work with a harbour festival, so love to explore cultural life new places.
I love to dance, I love spontaneous parties, they're often the best.
I like to ride bike in a big town. There's something relaxing to it. And you see things better than if you were in a car, but you don't have to dwell on every detail like when you walk.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I surfed Berlin, where our hosts helped us a lot in the search of an apartment.
In the States I surfed ten states by my self and with my girls and yehaw that's some good times with good people.
In Poland I met my best friends through CS, a tandem partner and a place to live.
In Copenhagen I've hosted people who taught me good music, skating and dancing.
Interests
My interest lies in learning new skills. But I'm not so good at keeping up the interest. I tend to loose the passion. I actually need to find the one thing, that just does it for me. Another interest is discovering Copenhagen.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like danish, german, French, Korean, russian movies - all kind of movies. I prefer movies to TV - I cannot dedicate so much time as a 7 season show 😅
I tend to be quite "floating" in my taste of music. I've had a crush on everything from pink bubble gum pop to cocaine sniffing glamour rock. It's like my taste of movies, what ever suits the moment. Berlin also gave me a crush on techno music, but I guess it suits Berlin best. When it comes to books, I read what's on my bookshelf. Vintage books are often quite cheap in my hometown. I've bought enough. The last authors I read were: Han Kang, David Graeber, Suzanne Brøgger, Asta Olivia Nordentoft.
I used to love classics - I still do, but I try to incorporate more contemporary literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting on a Texan back porch drinking Mexican beers all night.
The North Sea.
Canoeing the Mazury area of Poland.
Cross country skiing in Norway.
Hiking in Schwartzwald, Germany.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell about urban planning and what it's like to organise a festival. I also love to share thoughts on cooking, especially fermenting.
I want to learn more about mending clothes and sea weed.
