ABOUT ME

I left my home country of Canada in 2010 to work abroad and see the world. Over the last 6 years I have gained passion for traveling and teaching. I have lived in both Korea and Colombia for a couple years each. I have been having the time of my life and met the most wonderful people from all over the world. This semi nomadic lifestyle seems to really suit me.

Recently Josh (CS profile https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/5399503/profile ) and I moved to Istanbul to teach and experience a new culture and lifestyle. We are happy to be here and will start to host as we get a bit more settled into our new life.

I am laid back and love to learn from people around me. I find it really exciting to speak to people with different perspectives, to learn from different cultures and just hang out and chat about anything.

I like to stay busy and I am usually up to trying anything new :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed with great people in several different countries and have had nothing but fun and positive experiences.
I hope to continue to stay with people, explore new things with them, get to know each other and make new friends.

We did a lot of hosting in Colombia and it was AMAZING!! We have been so lucky to host many incredible, interesting and generous people from all over the world and have been having a blast.
I love to have people stay with us, cook for them or having them cook if they enjoy cooking. Sharing nice conversations, listening to new music, having a few too many drinks, playing games etc...

I used to think that surfers got the better end of the deal, but to be honest I think I prefer hosting to surfing. We have really enjoyed opening our house to people from all over the world :)

I am looking forward to share many many more experiences with couchsurfers across the world (hopefully both surfing and hosting)..

Interests

Traveling, the outdoors and simply living life!!!
I love food! So really look forward to trying different local foods when I am traveling.
I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, running, biking, snowboarding, sightseeing or just doing anything in nature.
On the other hand, I love to go out at night and party it up!! I love music and dancing (although I am not the best)..
I am recently trying to find and explore my creative side! We try to work on various small simple projects around the house.
It is important to me to keep growing as a person and a planet; I want to leave the world a better place then I found it..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The more I travel the more I realize the incredible beauty of the universe.

I´ve seen and done some incredible things all over the word but I feel a bit strange listing them here..

Teach, Learn, Share

If anyone wants to practice speaking English or French (Quebecois.. lol) I can do my best to help with that. I am still learning Spanish but if you are patient I would love the opportunity to practice Spanish and try to communicate with you.
I have so much to learn as I have so much more of my life to live and experience so I love to meet people and I try to learn as much as I can from each and every one around me.
