ABOUT ME

I discovered dancing while in high school and have developed it into one of my biggest passions in college. If I'm not dancing then I am relaxing at home or enjoying work. I enjoy every kind of game - board games, card games, video games, anything. I am eager to have fun and learn something new, so if you've got a game to teach me, I'd love to play!

I was born in California and moved to St. Louis, MO when I was young and have been there since. I then attended school and now I'm working and living in the city. I'm pretty laid back, but can be very energetic and goofy if I'm comfortable.

Fun fact - I have hairy hobbit feet and a HUGE big toe.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that if you make a habit of working hard and being kind, success will follow you as you live. I try not to sweat the small stuff.

I also believe that we infuse our personalities in everything we do - from conversation to playing chess to how we wake up in the morning.

You can learn a lot about someone by observing what they do when they do something they love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been surfing the recently in Europe and it has been nothing but fantastic and eye-opening. I am rediscovering CS as a social hub to meet new people. I hope to become more active in my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed throughout Europe for 3 weeks and it was one of the most memorable times in my life - because of couchsurfing! I really want all of my friends to join the site - it has changed all of my previous views on traveling.

Interessen

Ethnic dance, social dance. Games of any kind. Art and creative expression. The synthesis of art to create something that can capture our attention and keep it - like a good conversation. Food brings people together and experiencing amazing food is and will always be an interest to my spirit and my stomach!

Music: Radiohead, Weezer, Ben Folds. In general I have favorite songs rather than favorite artists.

Books: The Golden Age, Lord of the Rings, Neal Stephenson, Dune, lots of non-fiction

I think most of the performances I've taken part in are amazing - especially as a performer, it gives you a rush and asks so much of you, I would really suggest everyone trying to perform something.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I could teach a few basic things about dance and art, and they're one of the things I've become pretty passionate about as of late. I could also teach a few great games. Chess and Bridge are probably two of my favorites. I can teach a number of ballroom and latin styles. I need some practice teaching, too!
