Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Well, I've always been an avid couch-user, but I woke up recently and realized that I hadn't slept on enough yet...

ABOUT ME

There are a few things that are mentioned about me without fail when introduced to other people: I'm a triplet, I won the Alaskan state spelling bee in 7th, and play the oboe. Now, these traits don't necessarily speak to my coolness, but don't be fooled. I go to school in Middlebury (or Middleboring, Middlecrappy, or Middburg, as it has variously been called), where I host a talk radio show with my roommate Molly, play in the orchestra, and spend a ridiculous amount of time eating cheese. I was unfortunately born with less common sense than your average Joe, which can be a bit humiliating, but humorous as well. I also have an affinity for old people, free samples, and omelettes. My best friend is Alex, who I've known for nearly 15 years and is my favorite travel buddy.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I unfortunately live in a dorm in the middle of nowhere, Vermont (amazing place, but not much to see!). This makes it difficult to offer up my nonexistent couch to others. However, I'm not selfish, I swear! And if I ever make it home to Alaska (which won't be for another year or so), I would have an enormous amount of respect for anyone willing/able to make the trek up to Anchorage and would certainly make my couch available!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately, I am new to the world of couch surfing. However, I have spent a lot of time on other people's couches during my two years in college. I'm heading to France this fall and since I'll be traveling on a college student's budget, hope to be able to do as much as I can as I (hopefully) make my way across Europe! And of course, if I ever make it home to Alaska, I'd be more than willing to give my coach to a fellow surfer in need!

Intereses

I play the oboe, run, speak languages (Spanish and French), go on road trips, swing, watch movies, play smash brothers (64, of course), and eat cheese.

Música, películas y libros

In regards to movies, I am not too particular; I like a bit of everything. I am extremely protective about my music and am proud to say that no one knows what exactly I listen to. And as for books, well... I read a lot. I've currently been reading a lot of Milan Kundera. Unfortunately, I'm limited by whatever is in my school's library which, although it has some great literature, is not very up-to-date.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I spent a semester in Antofagasta, Chile. I didn't know a word of Spanish when I arrived, but lived with an off-the-wall woman and her daughter, went to high school, and had a blast!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Well, I don't know how teachable these talents are, but I can teach the oboe (providing you've got one), show you how fast I type, tell you all about the Olympics, kick ass in nerdy computer games, speak in foreign languages, and... I'll give you a whistling concert.

If anyone could teach me how to identify good produce, I'd be forever grateful.
