About Me
CURRENT MISSION
getting as much Europe in as I can
ABOUT ME
I grew up on the West Coast of America, spent some time in Australia and now I'm working in Germany. It's great. That's me in Thirty Words Or Less.
PHILOSOPHY
I spend a lot of time pondering this old quote I found in the back of a book somewhere:
"spending money from your savings is spending time your past self sacrificed, and borrowing money is time that your future self will have to sacrifice"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm up for just about anything. Like most people, I try to keep an open mind.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new, but I've heard good things!
Interests
I was a big-time swimmer back in the day, but now I just jump in the pool for me. Less competition-goodness, more zen-goodness. You know how sometimes a little physical effort is the only way to burn off mental stress? That's what swimming is to me.
I spent a lot of my degree studying Journalism, and I really enjoy writing but I've never had to earn my dinner with words. Those skill haven't ever really been tested, but it's still something I really enjoy.

as a kid: Jonathan Livingston Seagull by R. Bach
now: Once An Eagle by Anton Meyer
movies
usually: Tommy Boy and Dumb & Dumber
of all time: The Razor's Edge, but Where The Buffalo Roam is a close second

30 Rock is golden, It's Always Sunny is the best kind of terrible, and I haven't seen a bad episode of Community yet. The Middleman and Firefly shouldn't have been cancelled.

KC-style barbecue, nachos, BLTs, Udon noodles, and big burgers with juicy tomatoes and crisp leafs of lettuce.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I know it's cliche, but the Australian Outback at sunset really is completely stupefying.
