CURRENT MISSION
To find new adventures and make a laugh out of every day
ABOUT ME
Why do I want to travel? Because I never went away! I'm here to break away from comfortable. Big pillows and warm duvets aren't for me. All I ask for is a tiny corner or a rickety couch to lay my head. In return, I'll mow your grass, paint your walls, cook you dinner. (Disclaimer: I can't guarantee it's five-star cuisine.) More importantly, you'll have a friend.
My name is Jay. I'm 29, and I live in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I work as a media relations specialist, student affairs director for a university and also as a journalist for a newspaper. I have the summer off so I am looking to travel to all the places I've heard of. I am seeking out new towns, friends, culture along the way. I'm fascinated by cities, and I want to experience what it's like to be apart of a vibrant urban European culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Peace out. Fly low. Rock on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Many years ago, a nice person on here helped a poor recent college graduate with a pull-out bed and a delicious cup of tea while I was in a bind in Baltimore. Friends in Philadelphia, New York and Boston have always been kind enough to offer their couches to me; however, it's only natural that not too many people are willing to let me host them in Scranton.
