About Me

A confused soul trying to make a way through life.

I came to my current home town of Uppsala to study physics, but things don't always go as planed. I've had a bunch of different odd jobs such as art modelling, fish surveying, being a field assistant-assistant, teaching dance, assembling bikes and guiding tourists in a more than 500 year old silver mine. I'm currently studying water and environmental engineering, because I want to help out providing people with clean water in the future.

My tendency to try to thoroughly analyse everything I come across is both a blessing and a curse. I have a suppressed love for puns and like to play with words more than I usually admit. I take pride in patching my clothes when they get worn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I really like the concept. I've mostly hosted people, having a bit of the wide world delivering itself to your doorstep to share it's perspective on life is really neat, and I've met a whole bunch of interesting people.

Interests

I've danced a lot, lately it's mostly been lindy hop. I like singing, and I've been the musical lead of a quintet with some classmates. I like playing indie computer games, because indie's what my poor old laptop can handle.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some favorite books:
"The Kon-Tiki Expedition"
"All quiet on the western front"
"The Ethical Slut"
"Fröken Märkvärdig och Karriären"
"The Dispossessed"

When it comes to music I listen to everything from Swedish folk to jazz - I try to stay open minded. My thesis is that no kind of music is bad - it's just a matter of how long you can listen without growing tired of it.

Oh, and some favourite games:
"Planescape: Torment"
"Machinarium"
"Braid"
"Limbo"
"The return of the Obra Dinn"
"Papers, please"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survive depression.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all I know about the night sky! Ask me to go stargazing if the sky is clear, and I'm most likely game.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My mad pancake flipping skills and/or home made rhubarb jam.
