ABOUT ME

My life ranges from being a busy college student to running around experiencing as much outside of school as I can. If I have the time, I'll show you around and introduce you to our little piece of happiness here in Blacksburg. If not, at least you'll have a place to sleep.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to experience as much as I can with the resources I have. If I can stretch a dollar and stay an extra day in a crazy fun place, I'll do it.

I'm just now joining- I've been a big carpooler, and this seems like a great idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't been much of a couch surfer, except of course the usual college student crashing on the couches of friends and friends of friends.

LIVE MUSIC! This is a big reason for joining couchsurfing... hotels + concert tickets add up quickly. I love red wine, black tea, rebellious punks and poetry.

Anything that moves me, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, be it a DJ bouncing a party twisting knobs and dropping heavy bass, a crooner with an acoustic guitar, a full electronic band, a fiddle and bongos on the front porch, tribal flutes... you get the idea.

I have seen groups of people gather to make a change, and accomplish their goals. I have seen the success of a grassroots campaign fighting big money in a corrupt town. I have seen people make miracles happen.

I am studying marketing. Note that this does not mean I'm a money-grubbing capitalist- I am interested in the study of persuasion. My work has been in music/event promotions, political campaigning, and the promotion of non-profit causes.
