About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a student from Brisbane, Australia and at the moment I'm travelling through Europe before heading back to Aus to continue studying.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I'm an atheist and a vegetarian, so I guess my philosophy informs both of those choices. However, I'm not the kind of person who likes to push their philosophy on other people (though I do enjoy a good discussion).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Haven't had a chance to surf or host yet, but I'd like to change that. I hope to do a bit of surfing while I'm in Europe, then when I get back to Aus I'd like to start hosting (though I haven't actually found a house yet, so when I do I'd need to check with housemates etc).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as such, but now that I'm in Europe I hope to start ASAP.

Interests

My interests are fairly broad and include anything that sounds interesting/exciting. I'm really into travelling, trekking, scuba diving, snowboarding (just started, but love it!), reading, cooking (vegetarian).

Music, Movies, and Books

Fairly broad tastes in all of the above. My favourite films would include a number of films by the Coen brothers and Hayao Miyazaki, but I can't really be bothered to make an extensive list.

In terms of music, I guess I like mostly mainstream alternative stuff (if that makes sense). At the moment I'm into Andrew Bird, Interpol, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, Grizzly Bear etc, but I've been travelling for a while and my music tastes have stagnated somewhat, so I'm very interested in listening to some new stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would have to say that trekking in Huaraz, Peru would have to be one of my favourite experiences. Beautiful snow capped mountains all around, and the fact that it was setting for Touching the Void made it all the more awesome! Also some of the trekking I did around Leh in North West India was amazing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bolivia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
