About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I wanna live life to the fullest and see the world. Life is to short to waste away.

ABOUT ME

Well my name is Jeremy Perez, Im a Puerto Rican living in Arizona, im married to the most beautiful and caring woman and we are currently expecting our first child, we will be expecting him/her in may of 2011. I cant put into words how excited i am about that.

I was born in Chicago and raised in Florida and have spent the past two years living in Phoenix, Arizona, i work for a non-profit organization as a video editor that organizes free medical clinics around the world. When im not behind a camera or computer, my free time is dedicated to SALSA, which is the biggest passion that i have. I have been dancing now for 6 years and teaching for about 4 years now. Its an amazing dance that is universally accepted and found thoughout the world. I am more than willingly to teach anybody out there so dont be afraid to ask.

PHILOSOPHY

It is what it is...Sometimes life comes at you with unexpected things, how you handle it determines the outcome. No sense crying over spilled milk, i am a positive person who tries to share that with others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A true catastrophic moment in my life was when in the Philippines, my buddy and I heard about a mudslide that occurred on one of the islands out there that swallowed up an entire village that had about 2000 people living in it. Half of the towns people were able to escape but the other half were overtaken by the mudslide. Without hesitation we took off to the neighboring island to help out in any way we could. We hiked our way through all types of terrain in order to reach the site where possible survivors may still be alive. Once there, there was word that a teacher along with her 50 or so students were trapped under 40 feet of mud inside their small schoolhouse. For three days there were text messages coming from the teacher saying they were still alive but with the lack of heavy machinery and complex terrain our efforts werent good enough. I believe it was then that nothing else seemed to matter to me anymore, knowing that lives were hanging in the balance and there was nothing we could do. I made a decision to get the most out of life and be a kind person and help those in need whenever possible, because you never know whats about happen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love culture. I came from a a background where everyone in my family never really saw the big picture in life. When i began traveling, it opened a whole new world of potential to learn how other people exist.
