About Me

Greetings fellow CSurfers! Once upon a time I was very active and hosted a lot of people, then I came back to to Tucson where no one seems to visit and this site stopped sending me request notifications via email so sadly my profile fell a little under dismay but I'm trying to revamp it. While the CS requests were not flowing I still had plenty of couch surfers but in the form of friends visiting me from abroad or returning to Tucson for a revisit (for those who were exchange students some years ago). I like to meet foreigners and love all things international as most of us here do. I enjoy things such as languages, travels, culture, food, traditions, history, etc. I am mainly calm and easy going. I am the kind of person who likes to smile, be friendly, positive, cheerful and I am always ready to learn more about the world I live in. I love to share my experiences and culture, and I would love to learn about yours. I tend to travel at least once per year on a big 3 week trip but have my few extra trips sprinkled here and there. I could tell you many things about me, but my friends are the ones who know me better. If you want to know more, read my references... they are pretty good at describing me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I go have coffee, diner or give little tours to people who message me here as well as host when possible.

CS has introduced me to people who became friends for life. From a simple act of hosting/being hosted friendships flourished and I am very grateful for such experiences.

Interests

I like hiking, swimming, bowling, reading, painting, spending time with friends and family, hookah, game nights, movie nights, learn languages, culture, foreign music, foreign films, politics, food, travel, non heated debates, life philosophies, meeting new people, reading, painting, and learning in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES:
I mainly like Action, Comedy, Drama and Foreign films, but I can pretty much tolerate every kind of films.

MUSIC:
I love most type of music with exception of most songs containing "Hoe", "dough" and "bitches" in 1/3 of the song. I like Folk, Rock, Metal, Country, Pop, Techno... and all languages, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Finnish, Swedish, etc.

BOOKS:
I don't read as much as I used to. But so far my top favorite things are:

The Vampire Chronicles (About 12 books total)- Ann Rice, Number the Stars - Louis Lowry (English), Putin's Russia - Lilia Shevtsova (English), La Peste - Albert Camus (Français), L'Etranger - Albert Camus (Français), Un Grito Desesperado - Carlos Cuauhtemoc Sanchez (Español) , Pedro Paramo - Juan Rulfo (Español), Laberinto de la Soledad - Octavio Paz (Español), Cien años de Soledad - Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Español).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many think that because I'm calm I don't do anything crazy in life but the truth is far from what it seems. I have done and seen many things in my life. I have been scuba diving in a Pacific Island no one other than French people know it exists; I have been skydiving in the desert; Done Canopy in Costa Rica, Grabbed a tarantula and handled a python in my shoulders, I have met the First Minister of Scotland, the former president of Senegal, American, Canadian and Mexican Ambassadors, Congressmen from New Caledonia and the United States as well as mayors from the U.S. and Switzerland; The first time I set foot in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Asian/Pacific was all for free; I have jumped from a bungee; had a couple of near death experiences; have many travel stories and many more things. I have seen lots in my lifetime, but it is not nearly enough. There are many other things I need to do, see, learn about, and experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like teaching people about my culture and background. Little details of Mexico such as history, culture, food, people, customs, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My life experiences as well as to provide a place to sleep when possible. I share my home with my sister and I do have occasionally family visiting as well as my own friends visiting from abroad so I am not always able to host but it never hurts to ask!
