Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My participation with Couchsurfing is historically cyclical, it seems -- I host a lot of folks all in a small chunk of time and then forget to log in for a while, forget to update my address, and let it fall by the wayside. I'm trying to change that though! I updated my profile on 8 Sep 2012 and intend to keep up with the messages and remain in my current location for at least the next year so will be able to host at will. I have never actually surfed through this site, only hosted, though that's not by design. I would like to increase the CS footprint here in Central West Virginia and am considering trying to organize some meet ups. Contact me if you're interested!

In no particular order, I am very interested in local food movements and related infrastructure, waste diversion, deconstruction of buildings and salvage of building materials, bicycles, pedal powered technologies, appropriate technology, deep green ecology, potlucks, traveling, arkansas, west virginia, texas, north carolina, appalachia, northern mexico, la lucha.

I am all about project based experiential learning and can share about the following topics: small scale production style gardening, urban farming, composting, rainwater catchment / diversion, greywater diversion / filtration, bicycle mechanics, building material reclamation, basic woodworking, carpentry / construction, backpacking, canoeing, mushroom hunting, tincture preparation, basic mushroom cultivation (learning more on this soon!)....
