ABOUT ME

My wife, Mary, and I have had long careers in the fire service. I am retired after 32 years and she after 22. We enjoy lots of outdoor activities including biking, running, and hiking. I play guitar and piano and really enjoy juggling. Mary teaches yoga. We have 2 grown children and 1 granddaughter.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can offer our home for short stays. We have lived in Sarasota for a long time, so we can show you around town if you'd like. We love to travel and meet new people and look forward to hosting some interesting travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two on this website, but one of our favorites was before we even joined CS it was in Vermont. After hiking for a few days, we had trouble finding lodging during peak leaf viewing season. A waitress invited us home, and even let us watch the kids while she and her hubby went out for a much needed date night!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Recently we watched "My Name is Khan" and "The Kings Speech" and enjoyed them both. We like the TV shows Survivor and Modern Family. Books: "Life of Pi" and the "Power of One" are two of our favorites.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

My wife and I were able to take six months off from work to hike the Appalachian trail. We walked over 2000 miles and had the time of our lives.
