About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Good karma. I have made myself available to host and meet for coffee/a drink, in the hopes that someone will be willing to host me when I travel.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Manhattan, but now I live in Brooklyn. I am a photographer. You can see some of my work at http://www.jonathan-goldberg.com. If you stay with me, or we meet, I will almost definitely take your photo. If your not comfortable with that, well that's just too bad.

PHILOSOPHY

Sorry, didn't study philosophy in college. But seriously, be nice to people, and just go have a good time no matter what you are doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people, first and foremost. Hosting is the easiest way to meet people like yourself. People who like to travel, and experience new places.

I also travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted before, and have been hosted in Finland. I have met up with other CS'ers in Copenhagen, and in Stockholm. It has all been amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many movies, I particularly like classic films. Big fan of film noir.

As far as music goes, I listen to a sampling of everything. Right now I am listening to a lot of Modest Mouse, Childish Gambino, The Black Keys, Muse, Pearl Jam, ASAP Rocky, Smashing Pumpkins, The Band, The Who, Florence + The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, the list goes on, and on...

Books you MUST read: Man Gone Down by Michael Thomas and The Fraction of The Whole by Steve Toltz. I don't need to preach to you all about the classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with dolphins in Hawaii. Moshed in Finland. Mud person totem pole at the Dead Sea. Played a Piano from the 17th century in a museum in Berlin. Got yelled at by a guard in the catacombs of Paris for picking up human skulls.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, United States
