Overview
About Me
I'm currently based in Washington, DC where I'm doing a master's in Arab Studies. Before that, I lived and worked in throughout the Middle East and North Africa (first Morocco, then Tunisia and Oman). And before that, I was an undergraduate in New York City. As an undergrad, I studied abroad in Paris and travelled around Europe. My parents are from Mexico and I grew up in Central Florida.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is such a hard question.
The last time I couldn't put down my book was when I was reading the My Brilliant Friend series by Elena Ferrante.
I can't stop thinking of the movie Silences of the Palaces (Samt al-Qusur) by Moufida Tlatli.
This last year, rediscovering Selena Quintanilla brought back a lot of comforting childhood memories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My heart still races when I think of the time when I jumped from ~40 rock into a wadi in Oman.
