About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be a sports reporter, or travel the as much as possible, or be a traveling sports reporter...

ABOUT ME

After studying science for 5 years, I realized that I don't want to be a lab tech and enjoy traveling photography and writing a hell of a lot more.

I'm a reporter now and can't wait to get back on the road. Until then, I guess I could write about it?!

UPDATE: I've got a brief window to see the US once again while I drive from the West coast back east. I stop for beer and BBQ.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spread the word in a positive way! Hamilton isn't really a hot spot for travelers, which is exactly why you should come! There are some great restaurants and pubs, and good people too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my couch surfing experience has been in the states, and is probably the only way I would have ever been able to travel across the country the way I did. I was with my buddy mike when I got lost in Ruston, LA... ask me and I'll tell you the story of the broken bicycle!

Interests

Food. I love it. I love it from different cities, and the way different people get together over it. I could travel with the one goal of going to find new foods and meeting people over it. I love beer, beer festivals, hiking & backpack camping, and all sports in general. I'm kind of a newspaper guy, so anything that comes with the territory of saving that medium..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to fly in a show fighter jet with the Canadian Snowbirds - one of the perks of being journalist who gets odd ball assignments.

Driving across Canada was one hell of a way to see your own country.

I did a road trip through Mexico and somehow survived. Yes, I was arrested, ask me and I'll tell you the full story, but tequila must be involved.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
