ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Jenna. I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to the Northwest after highschool and have really fallen in love with it. After traveling to South Africa when I was 19 I have been hooked ever since. I am utterly fascinated by the people and places around me and am constantly blown away by the power of traveling and the connections you can make with people. Recently back from Uganda I am ready to stay put for a few months, finish my senior year and see the rest of this beautiful world.
PHILOSOPHY
"Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends."
Maya Angelou
"Live simply so others may simply live"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had some extremely memorable nights in Africa thanks to amazing CS hosts. I have yet to host any travelers but am looking forward to the near future when I have a structured living situation!
Couchsurfing to me is the core of traveling. I love it so much and think it's one of the best ways to truly learn from other people.
Interests
pushing myself out of my comfortzone, making a giant dinner with friends and family, working with people with disabilities, attempting to have great bike skills, riding uncomfortable buses in Uganda, making a fool out of myself it it means the people around me are having a good time.
Sitting around a fire with some good conversation, music and beer.
