ABOUT ME

Hello Couch Surfing Community! In 2011-12 I spent an incredible 10 months exploring SE Asia and Oceania, during which I concluded that nothing beats traveling. I love the thrill of being in a new place, meeting new people, eating great food, playing cards, the challenge of a tight budget, collecting shells, taking pictures, doing yoga, reading, pulling a good prank, bonfires on the beach, hiking, snorkeling and going out dancing. The freedom and indepence of traveling suits me well, I'm happy to do my own thing and I love exploring the little side streets and hidden trails. I am definitely a people person though, I am open and freindly and go with the flow.

Hosting at the moment, and hopefully I'll get back to traveling again soon! All my CS experiences while traveling in the past have been stellar.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While in Australia I stayed with some fantastic Tasmanians and then found a crew in Melbourne to road trip with all the way up to Alice Springs! An absolute blast! Now I'm hosting, which has been great too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing Sights:
1)Halong Bay, Vietnam: Swimming at night with phosphorescent algae!
2)The sunsets in my hometown of Fairfield, Iowa are fantastic on a daily basis, also in the winter it's magical to wake up in the morning after a big freeze and see every blade of grass and tree branch covered in ice.

Amazing Adventures:
1)Hiking up Mount Warning in the dark of early morning to watch the sunrise from the eastern most point of Australia.
2)Traveling by bus from the southern islands of Thailand to the northern tip of Vietnam.
3)Touring all around Bali on a moped without a map.

Happy to share whatever I've got! Recipes, yoga classes, stories, a hand, an ear.

Keen to learn lots of things, but a few things on the top of my list are: surfing, spanish, piano, woodworking, handstands.
