ABOUT ME
Hello! I've been an English teacher for about ten years, and spent six years living in Japan, and now I'm doing an MA at Lancaster. I love studying society and culture, and getting out in nature, rowing, hiking, kayaking, or sitting in the garden with a glass of wine.
PHILOSOPHY
At the moment I'm into thinking about what we take for granted as 'normal' and turning that on its head. I'd say the purpose of my life has been to understand why we are the way we are and how we can be better as a global society.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking in the Japanese Alps, scuba diving in Thailand, the stars from the desert in Arizona -- so many things from the mundane to the once-in-a-lifetime.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the Charleston, how to make sushi and how to write your name in Japanese, and the basics of a theory of patriarchy. I've also got heaps of great pictures of Japan and can give you lots of advice about traveling or moving there.
