Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My ultimate life's goal (as probably most other Couchsurfers) is to see the world and this seems like a pretty interesting way meet people, experience their culture and listen to their stories. I don't know very many people who have done this and I feel like we miss out soo much on what means to LIVE when we don't travel. I would love to experience as much as I can.
Couchsurfing has truly taught me that humanity still exists in the world. I have truly met some of the nicest and coolest people through the experience, who I hope to one day cross paths with again.
I really hope to one day be able to host too. Currently I live with family which makes it difficult to do so. There is so much beauty and culture to be seen here in Jamaica and we love sharing it with travelers!
Interests
I went vegetarian in 2016 and this inspired me to start a vegan desserts company. I work from home which I really enjoy as it allows me more flexibility to do other activities I enjoy like visiting the many beaches or rivers in Jamaica, going to live reggae music shows or taking a random road trip.
I hope to own a farm one day...or a large garden :D
I also enjoy making and trying different recipes. I started taking photos of my meals and sharing them as a way of inspiring others to make healthy and tasty meals.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been called an old-soul and my taste in music surely reflects that. I listen to a lot of soul, R&B and reggae music from the 90s and earlier.
My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird.
I'm not a big movie watcher but I do enjoy documentaries...no specific genre...just any that really peaks my curiosity, whether it's about the mind of a prisoner or the food industry or something on VICE...whatever leads to an interesting philosophical conversation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did WWOOFing on a organic farm for 2 months in Florida. I had such a great time especially meeting and hanging out with other WWOOFers from around the world.
Another interesting thing was the first time I'd ever gone kayaking. It was so much fun and it was on beautiful Crystal River.
Also I lived in Japan for a year and a half.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am quite helpful and don't mind playing my part around the house if hosted. I love cooking too so I can teach you or share some popular Jamaican recipes.
