About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Balance work and fun and travels.

ABOUT ME

I like to hang out with friends, watch movies (especially zombie films), read good books, discuss politics, drink beer and enjoy myself. I'm old at heart and like DIY and crocheting.
I have lived a year in Germany and 5 months in Sri Lanka.

PHILOSOPHY

I am an convinced atheist, and I'm a member of The Swedish Humanist Association. Science, evolution and genetics, is like religion to me, and I believe in scientific evidence and logic. I respect others beliefs though, it's just not for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like to meet new people, help out travelers whenever I can, and host when I'm able to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never couchsurfed myself, but I've had some people stay at my place, and I always have the best time getting to know people I've never met. Funny thing that happened: the local newspaper once called me and wanted to know more about the site (they had found me here). Ended up being in a full page interview, picture of me and my couch and everything. :)

Interests

Reading is a big interest, but I don't have time to read nearly enough fiction. I follow the news a lot, and I'm very interested in political discussions and defending my opinions. "Be the change you want to see" and all that. Sometimes the state of the world today gets me down, but I always go back to being involved, even though being so without seeing results can be hard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a lot of really cool things during my studies, both in microscopes and textbooks. Also my time in Sri Lanka was amazing in so many ways!
January 2017 I went to Chile to visit my partners family. The Atacama desert was quite something, and I'll never forget the view!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about science mainly, but overall I think I have a pretty general knowledge of most things, and would love to learn more. Oh, and I make nice makramé bracelets and really great soups!

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Kingdom
