ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jeff I tend to be happy about 90% of the time, I enjoy life's challenges and rewards and am very grateful. I have recently sold most of what I own and my house so that I can travel the country. I will be living out of my car and in parks, campsites and motels most of the time. I do work, I am a website developer so all I need is my computer and my wireless card!

I do what I love in life. I love to be adventurous, healthy and active. I am, creative, artistic, a bit of a geek and love being outdoors. I am usually up for anything, I like snowboarding, mountain biking, working out, wake boarding, hiking and like trying new things! I enjoy great conversations, good movies, good food, laughing unconditionally... I am always up for anything unique, I definitely enjoy avant garde / alternative.

I am not perfect but I work daily to be better... I like a lot of music but mostly listen to newer heavy metal, older punk, and many other alternative genres, for some reason hipster music has made it into my rotation. I am a spiritual person...

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell and spirituality is for people who have already been there and don't want to go back. I am a spiritual person... I have been through a lot in my life and I have learned to live a different life today.

I have been sober since Febuary, 4th, 2008 and have been that way with the help of my friend Bill W.

I believe that doing what is right is not always easy but it is always right... I also believe that change is always going to happen and I can either try to resist it or accept it and adapt.

I know that I need to work in life to make my way but I also try to enjoy life while doing it. I believe if you do what you love you never really have to work a day in your life...

I am new to this website but I did donate and when I buy a house or have an apartment again I will certainly offer it to travelers.

I have also let plenty of people stay with me for weeks or even months at a time in the past.

I also understand not to overstay my welcome...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a little couch surfing years ago, it was generally with people I knew and usually had a good experience.

I like all sorts of movies, I do no tread a lot of books, definitely not as many as I should... As far as music, I listen to what I feel like at the time. I may listen to Parkway Drive one minute and then switch to Supertramp or Beastie Boys, my range is really all over the place... I tend to stick to the more "alternative" side of music...
