About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to learn about the world to better understand and postively impact myself, my friends and my community. I have much that I have not yet experienced, but also much to share.

ABOUT ME

I am currently taking a year+ off work to travel, experience and grow. I have traveled many places around the world already, but not even scratched the surface. One of my passions is learning about the diversity and richness of different regions histories and how it affects their modern cultures. Why are we so different and how are we all the same. I believe that by learning and experiencing these differences and similarities, we can create a better understanding of our world and make it a better place for ourselves and our children.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmmm..... I believe that people are inherently good and that all conflict is a result of miscommunication. Patience and a dedication to understanding the other person's point of veiw will always lead to harmony. I have also been very fortunate in my life and I am now looking for ways that I can share back to the community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now as I am traveling, I have been meeting couchsurfers all over the world. I am also fortunate enough to live in San Francisco, and know many of the people who started and now work at CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have communicated with many CS'ers and stayed with several around the world. In all cases it has been a postive experience. In Morocco, I stayed with a CS friend and had the fun of finding camels in the front yard of the apartment in the morning.

Interests

Travel, surfing, people, music (especially DJ), cooking and dining out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of movies and books. Current favs are the recent George Clooney films: Michael Clayton, In the Air, The Decendents. Plus classics like Apocolypse Now, GF I and II, Pulp Fiction, American Beauty. On books, all Pat Conroy and John Irving novels. Just read Shantaram, which was fabulous, and Tom Robbins is ALWAYS worth the read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow..... Recently: Full moon camel-ride through the Sahara desert.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a great deal of experience with many cultures and situations. My learnings can help others better understand the world.
